Peterson Yuhala
Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to visit. I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Systopia Lab at UBC, Vancouver.
My research is centered around confidential computing, and aims to enhance the practicality and security of trusted execution environments (TEEs).
I also do research on processing-in-memory (PIM), a paradigm shift towards memory-centric (rather than traditional processor-centric) computing. Some of my current research focuses on developing software and hardware-based designs for enhancing security with PIM. See my research statement for more information on my past and current research.
Prior to UBC, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Neuchâtel (UniNE), Switzerland, where I equally completed my PhD in Computer Science (nominated for a Best Thesis Award) on Enhancing Security and Performance in Trusted Execution Environments in February 2024, under the supervision of Prof. Pascal Felber, Dr. Valerio Schiavoni, and Prof. Alain Tchana.
In my free time I am an electronics hobbyist who loves tinkering with microcontrollers to build interesting automation projects or a tech tinkerer experimenting with the latest AI tools. When I’ve got a bit more breathing room, I dive into Kali Linux and explore the art of ethical hacking. I also manage The Tech Hub, a programming and technology blog.
